Corporate Tax

Corporation Tax compliance which includes the preparation of the Corporate Tax self assessment returns, calculation of liabilities, corresponding with the Revenue and agreeing computations, and preparation of claims and elections where appropriate to minimise tax liabilities.

VAT

Revenue Audits

S Mac Rory & Co. has in-dept knowledge and experience of helping clients to deal with Revenue auditors. As part of the operation of self-assessment, the Revenue Commissioners have significantly increased the number of Revenue audits they conduct. These audits are now widespread for income tax, corporation tax, VAT and RCT.
In addition, the powers of the Revenue Commissioners have expanded significantly and have become more onerous and complex. Penalties for non-compliance and the tax code also have increased substantially.
At S Mac Rory & Co., our services include pre audit health checks, liasing with the Revenue Commissioners during audits and negotiating settlements, where necessary.

Company Secretarial

Company directors who underrate the importance of the role of the company secretary do so at their peril.
It is true that there are no qualification requirements for secretaries of private companies and certain filing and disclosure obligations are more generous for private companies than they are for public companies. However, directors and secretaries of private and public companies can be fined and face criminal prosecution for failure to comply with the administrative, disclosure and filing requirements of the Companies Acts.
